Cliff, Brian, and Scott Baker are the partners in the Picture A Word business. Father, Cliff, and sons, Brian and Scott, make up this family business. All three enjoy the outdoors and are amateur photographers.

Scott recently graduated from Ft. Lewis State College in Durango, Colorado with a degree in Business Administration. His passion is kayaking. He has traveled the world kayaking some of the most famous and difficult rivers. He has built a reputation as a top kayaker. Many of his kayaking photos have been published in kayaking books and magazines.

Brian also graduated from Ft. Lewis State College in Durango, Colorado with a degree in Business Administration. Since Brian was a young child, one of his hobbies has been photography. He has recorded, through photos and movies, his many outdoor adventures. Brian has worked as a professional ski instructor for over 12 years. He lives in Whistler, British Colombia.

Cliff was a professor at the University of Northern Colorado before retiring several years ago. He is an avid fisherman who also finds time for golf, skiing, and various outdoor activities. Since retirement he has found a new hobby—photography. He makes his home with his wife Gail in Estes Park and Greeley, Colorado.




All three spend a great deal of time in the outdoors and take lots of pictures. Picture A Word has been a fun and natural extension of their experiences and passions. Now, instead of just taking pictures of their activities, they look for letters in the outdoors to also take pictures of.
